Annual Summer Auction!

Sunday – August 6, 2017- Starts at 11:00 AM!

Crowne Plaza Hotel St. Louis Airport
11228 Lone Eagle Dr., St. Louis, MO 63044

Information & Seller Registration:

Rules, Seller’s Sheets and Labels:

We will have both a regular verbal auction and a huge silent auction running throughout the day!

Buyers can find their choice of as many as 500 (or more!) lots of:
Locally Raised Freshwater Tropical Fish (cichlids, angels, livebearers, killies, fancy guppies, community fish, catfish, plecos and MORE!),
freshwater shrimp, other freshwater invertebrates,
locally raised aquatic amphibians (axolotls, newts and frogs), Goldfish,
Aquatic Plants, pond plants,
Aquarium and Pond Supplies, Books and magazines, Aquarium and Pond Equipment, Tanks, stands, decorations, Live Foods and MORE!
Though our sellers are mostly freshwater hobbyists, there are sometimes marine fish/inverts and frags as well.

Special Fish Auctions: We will likely also have several lots of fish from our late member, Jim Miller. We sold many of his fish at the July meeting, but there are still many more to sell. Junior was an active breeder and had a large fishroom! There may be some tanks and equipment as well. A couple of other members are also selling some of their tanks, so this might be a good opportunity to expand your fishroom!

Special Artwork Auction:
At 2:30 pm four beautiful pieces of aquarium artwork specially donated to MASI by Scalz Nature Artist Sam Scalz will be auctioned off as a fundraiser for the MASI Challenge, our annual charitable endeavor. This year we're supporting the Stuart Grant Fund, also known as the Net Busters. The artwork was shown in the June/July issue of the Darter on page 14, in the auction email letter sent out this past week, and posted on the MASI web page right after the meeting this coming week. Thanks to Sam Scalz for donating these works.

Breakfast and Lunch!
From 11:00 am to 1:00 pm, the hotel will have a concession stand right outside the auction room selling coffee, breakfast sandwiches, lunch sandwiches, chips and drinks. That way you don't have to miss the action while you're fueling up!

50/50 RAFFLE!
We're going to try something new - a 50/50 raffle. This is where folks buy tickets and when we draw, the winner gets half of the money collected from the ticket sales, which is usually a couple hundred bucks!

MUST be present to win.
